My stay at the Akelarre Bilbao was an enjoyable one. The staff are very kind, friendly and welcoming. The hostel is very clean, situated within walking distance to all major attractions, has no curfew, free internet and feels more like home then a hostel. I would highly recommend it.

The hostel has everything that’s promised on the website. Before I came I was a bit apprehensive about the ‘good atmosphere’, since it had only just opened. But once I arrived those doubts where washed away by the warm welcome the girls gave us. When we were there, there was a very friendly atmosphere among the fellow travellers. I hope they can keep it up. As for the accommodation: everything is brand new and very clean. There are still some minor problems to tackle (e.g. lock on bathroom door, some coat hangers in the bathroom, …), but once they’ve been resolved it’ll be a 5-star hostel. There were free cookies?!? Damn I must’ve missed that… Thanks for a wonderful stay, Tineke (Belgium)

For one the hostel is the only hostel that had a decent website and a central location. When we arrived it was very modern and nice and the ladies had just opened it 5 days prior to our arrival. The name of the hostel is BILBAO AKELARRE HOSTEL . Is was so greatful to have a bed and a shower and I learned I was surrounded by wonderful people. Last night was a rough one but the free wifi helped out in my conversing with friends and family. Also they do free coffee and tea and COOKIES! So it pretty much made my day. www.gnarlyriders.org
